Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, AR is seeking a full-time Credentialing Specialist to join our Human Resources Team.
In this role, you will oversee the onboarding process for physicians and other healthcare providers, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. You will be responsible for managing provider credentials, verifying affiliations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Core responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new physicians and healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of provider information into the designated program or system.
- Verify and process professional credentials, including affiliations, internships, and collaborative practice agreements.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of malpractice requirements and ensure compliance.
- Manage initial and reappointments to medical staff, to include Collaborative Physician Agreements.
- Follow up on pending verifications and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Provide support and guidance to providers throughout the onboarding process.
- High diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in physician onboarding, credentialing, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of malpractice, medical staff appointments, and hospital privileges.
- Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software or programs to input and manage provider information.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
