POSITION SUMMARY:
The Seasonal Food and Sanitation Coordinator works directly with the Camp Director to deliver and ensure nutritional satisfaction of Camp Wakonda’s Food Services by assisting the Food Services and Housekeeping departments. The Food and Sanitation Coordinator will be responsible for the smooth operation of menu, food ordering, inventory, preparation, serving, maintaining excellent kitchen and dining hall standards, and scheduling kitchen and housekeeping staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and review camp menus and inventory under the direction of the Camp Director
- Responsible for food ordering, inventory, preparation, serving, meal break down, general kitchen and dining hall cleaning.
- Ensure proper food service standards, including food storage and kitchen cleanliness.
- Provide outstanding and consistent hospitality to all camp guests.
- Oversee kitchen and housekeeping schedules
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Responsible for strict adherence to policies and procedures related to food safety and other regulations.
