THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION THAT IS PAID MONTHLY
Job Summary: As a Peer Support Specialist #1 at P.E.A.R.L. WITH YOU INC., your primary role will be to provide peer support services, act as a client advocate, and assist veterans with coping skills. You will play a pivotal role in providing recovery information and support throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing peer support services to veterans, offering understanding, empathy, and encouragement in coping with challenges.
Assist monitor with distributing breakfast and lunch to veterans daily
Acting as a client advocate, ensuring that veterans' voices are heard and respected in their treatment and recovery journey.
Assisting veterans in developing and implementing coping skills to manage stress, trauma, and other mental health issues.
Providing recovery-oriented information and resources to veterans, aiding them in their journey towards wellness and rehabilitation.
Filling in to monitor with LD or any other bed model if coverage is needed during assigned shifts.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in peer support services or related fields preferred.
Knowledge of recovery-oriented principles and understanding of mental health challenges.
Effective communication and active listening skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
