GENERAL FUNCTION:
- Assist the Product Support Manager (PSM) in executing duties related to Total Life Cycle Systems Management (TLCSM) for the sustainment of Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- Support the development and maintenance of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP) strategies.
- Ensure that logistics support elements are effectively integrated with acquisition, production, and deployment phases of programs.
- Provide assistance in data analysis, procurement, and management of critical assets, spare parts, tooling, and related materials for sustainment.
- Assist in managing acquisition logistics policies and procedures, ensuring all supply systems and procedures are followed per USAF guidelines.
- Support the planning, organizing, and management of logistics elements such as spares, support equipment, technical data, and provisioning for effective product support.
- Support sustainment activities at Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) and other locations as required.
- Assist in generating and reviewing logistics support documentation, including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), technical orders, manuals, and work specifications to meet Government requirements.
- Analyze sustainment issues, including Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and recommend suitable replacements.
- Assist with identifying spares and provisioning strategies, tracking repair orders, and monitoring parts supply availability.
- Provide support during all phases of the acquisition process, including Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, EMD, and Production/Deployment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Foreign Assistance Act, the Arms Export Control Act, and other legislation related to FMS programs.
- Monitor and coordinate security activities across DoD and other agencies to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of the assigned aircraft/weapon system depot maintenance work tasks and repair processes to research timing of work cards, confirm the sufficiency of planned depot maintenance tasks.
- Interface with depot personnel and use depot maintenance information systems to closely monitor progress, resolve issues, and report detailed progress and status to the Government.
- Advise the Government on acquisition strategies for line replacement units and components using various methods including Parts and Repair Ordering System (PROS).
- Coordinate cargo movement worldwide in compliance with AMC and U.S. Transportation Command directives and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- MA Degree and at least 20 years of experience in the related field, 12 of which must be with the DoD, OR, BA Degree and at least 25 years of experience related to the position requirements, 15 of which must be with the DoD, OR, 30 years of directly related experience, 20 of which must be with the DoD.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be able to perform functional duties independently.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Preferred experience with Wide Area Workflow and D043 is desired.
