About the Role:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operation of the Human Resources Department. This position ensures HR efforts align with company goals while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance. As a key leader in the organization, this role is expected to lead by example—setting the tone for ethical conduct, respect, and operational excellence across all levels of the company.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage all HR functions including staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance
- Supervise HR department staff, ensuring high performance, service quality, and accountability
- Maintain and model confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism at all times
- Handle employee concerns and sensitive situations, including harassment, discrimination, and misconduct claims
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, resolving issues with discretion and fairness
- Develop, enforce, and maintain policies that foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, OSHA standards, and ISO 9000 documentation requirements
- Represent the company during investigations, hearings, and other HR-related matters
- Lead full-cycle recruitment: workforce planning, posting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention
- Monitor and address staffing levels with a proactive, strategic approach
- Oversee employee benefits, compensation, and workers' compensation programs
- Coordinate performance management processes and company-wide review cycles
- Develop and implement company-wide training programs in coordination with department managers
- Create and maintain training materials, track effectiveness, and ensure proper documentation
- Manage all HR records (digital and physical) with accuracy, organization, and security
- Maintain company communication tools and coordinate messaging (bulletin boards, notices, etc.)
- Manage HR departmental budgets and recommend appropriate resource allocations
- Act as a role model for ethical decision-making, professionalism, and effective communication
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or 3 – 5 years of HR management experience required; manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Paylocity strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage highly sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations and managing employee relations
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong public speaking and training facilitation skills
- High School Diploma required (minimum)
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor
- Regular use of computers, phones, copiers, calculators, and standard office equipment
- Some bending, lifting, and standing; moderate noise; minimal exposure to fumes
