Home of the Sparrow is a non-profit whose mission is to partner with women facing homelessness to secure housing, achieve long-term stability, and chart new paths for their futures. The organization coordinates five programs to provide housing and supportive services so that women and children in the community have the resources they need to live independently. Job Overview
We are seeking a well organized, detail oriented, Program Coordinator Assistant. The Program Coordinator Assistant will work with agency Program Coordinators to connect families with needed community resources and provide additional supports to the Program Team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work in a small team setting, have excellent computer and communication skills.
Duties
- Data entry
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Completing applications with program participants
- Assist with answering calls and emails
- Event planning support
- Outreach
- Occasional field visits
Skills
- Able to work in a small team setting with a desire to learn from colleagues, supporting and encouraging each other and program participants.
- Must be flexible, well organized, detail oriented and self- starter.
- Ability to build relationships with program participants and other social service organizations.
- Knowledge of housing and social services helpful.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental manner.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated commitment to service of others is required.
- Knowledge of Chester County is helpful.
- Sense of humor is required!
Experience and Education
Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in social service field or similar field of study.
Minimum 2 years’ experience.
