The Parts Counter Sales position in our Sterling Heights facility is responsible for providing our retail and installer customers with a high level of service. They also support management in the accomplishment of all assigned tasks, including maintaining inventory control, store appearance, and customer relations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and advise customers in selection of products and their uses Counter sales of heavy-duty transportation parts and services to current customers and prospects
- Use of catalogs and parts manuals to identify and sell heavy duty trailer and truck parts
- Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
- Operate the point-of-sale system Karmak to search for parts and customer accounts
- Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
- Assist with inventory and processing of incoming stock
- Assist service and leasing department with identification of parts
- Continually grow product and application knowledge of product essential to the heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
- Basic computer, customer service and math skills
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs.
