Job Title: Global Quality Manager - Black Belt
Location: Simpsonville, SC
Salary: $110k to $130k plus 15% bonus
Shift: Standard Shift
What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an experienced problem-solver and project manager who can build and lead cross-functional teams to address Quality problems using a data-driven 8D problem-solving methodology. This role will be responsible for the management of multiple, high priority, Quality Improvement projects of medium to large scope involving multiple sites and/or customer locations.
Job Duties:
- Project identification, selection, and prioritization
- Project charter development
- Building project teams
- Leading containment activities
- Leading DMAIC-based Kaizen events
- Root cause investigation activities including FTA development, trial coordination and execution, data collection and analysis.
- Solution brainstorming and selection
- Reporting on the status of projects
- Assist technical leaders in achieving project objectives.
- Champion use of 8D problem-solving methodology through disciplined project execution
What it Takes (Job Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline required
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred) including both statistical (DoE, Correlation, Regression, Capability Analysis, Control Charts, ANOVA, MSA, etc.) and non-statistical (FMEA, Decision-matrices, Process Mapping, etc.) techniques.
- Project Management experience required including schedule creation, use of work-breakdown structures, communication plans, etc.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
- Experience with 8D problem-solving
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong ability to present technical information
- Project coaching experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate, develop, and support a broad team with varied priorities
- Ability to influence others without formal authority
- Ability to work well cross-functionally with groups in all areas of the business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required.
- Experience with Minitab or similar software required.
- SAP or similar manufacturing data systems experience required.
- Experience with plastics manufacturing, extrusion, printing, or converting preferred.
- Must have the ability to work on-site in any of our manufacturing facilities.
Location:
- Simpsonville, SC or Charlotte, NC. Other Client locations may also be considered.
- Some work may be done remotely, and some work will require traveling to one of our manufacturing sites or customer sites to gather data, conduct experiments, etc. Must have access to a major airport.

Travel Expectations:
- Some travel will be required for this position within the U.S. and possibly internationally. Travel requirements not expected to exceed 20%.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
