NC FAST Senior Automation engineer

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a Senior Automation engineer to help automate and improve the build deploy and operation of (NC FAST) Applications.

The primary role is to lead Automation effort of infrastructure provisioning build and deploy activities for NC FAST applications. This position must demonstrate a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle.

This position will be responsible for automating and performing tasks associated with the build and deploy processes for the NCFAST application by preparing and executing build scripts using Ansiblecloud formation etc. This position will provide handson Automation support to the release and Application development teams for the entire release management lifecycle across multiple applications as well as recommend process improvements keeping Agile and DevOps culture and practices in mind.

This position will also beresponsible for supporting tasks and activities for the release / build team inthe Architecture and Infrastructure Unit of the NCFAST program.

The position will work with IT management toimprove the software engineering processes and practices associated withcontinuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI / CD) of applicationchanges. This position will interact with the architects developersdeployment Team and Database Administrators to ensure automation of varioustasks.

This position is required to be on call forevenings and weekends as required to meet business needs.
