Job Title: Wheel & Wheel Trim Engineer

Job Summary:
- We are seeking a Wheel & Wheel Trim Engineer responsible for designing and developing wheel trims, inserts, center caps, and related components from concept to production. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and system owners to ensure high-quality, innovative designs that meet vehicle attribute requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & develop wheels, wheel trim, inserts, and center caps from concept to production.
- Establish component requirements based on vehicle attributes.
- Conduct DFMEAs, DVPs, and contribute to system failure mode analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams & external suppliers to achieve optimal system and component designs.
- Coordinate virtual engineering & physical validation testing for designs.
- Manage multiple complex projects in a challenging environment.
- Work closely with the design studio, CAE department, and validation team to refine designs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Automotive industry experience focused on wheel, wheel trim, and wheel insert design.
- Experience taking components from concept to production.
- Strong 3D CAD skills for design and development.
- Firsthand prototype assembly experience.
- Expertise in technology, system, and supplier selection.
- Project leadership & mentoring skills.
- Design release engineering experience, including engineering change & project management.
Ability to determine required tolerances using GD&T.
