Night Logistic Dispatcher
Compensation: $23-$25/per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The logistics dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods and deliveries. The tasks include scheduling and dispatching drivers, tracking shipment progress, ensuring timely delivery, and communicating with clients, drivers and vendors to optimize logistics operations.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 9pm-6:30am
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collect, audit, record and retain all local, state and federal compliance records. Monitor fleet safety maintenance and Manage equipment maintenance and appearance through vendor(s).

Compose, coordinate, route, and dispatch daily deliveries. Provide delivery schedules to applicable branch personnel.

Plans day-to-day departmental operations; develop and implement work methods including the management of customer service functions within the department.

Apply company policies and assure adherence to departmental procedures.

Provide delivery information and develop relationships with the team and customers. Confirmation of deliveries before loading and Provide pulling and loading information to warehouse

Maintain cost assessments and revenue reports. Manage driver hours and remedy on the road situations.

Provide transportation support to meet and exceed branch distribution needs. Contact, negotiate, and schedule outside delivery support in applicable instances where customer support is in jeopardy.

Execute delivery strategies to maintain customer growth and the development of daily routes.

Prepare daily all related company and regulatory documents and driver documentation.

Develop customer relations and serve as a point of contact between customer and company by always maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor through phone contact and service actions.

Confirm orders with customers before delivery and send orders into the warehouse for loading.

Instill driver confidence and instruction by helping with load planning to optimize service and driver safety.

Communicate with drivers, customers, office personnel, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve road issues past, present, and future deliveries, and currently needed and/or anticipated repairs and planned maintenance.

Intimate knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to implement this understanding by maintaining accurate files and reviewing driver documentation to ensure 100% compliance with company policies and both State and Federal Regulations.

Assign drivers orders for delivery and drivers to specific trips.
Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years of experience in customer service, logistics, or related field.

Basic understanding of driver routing and scheduling in a logistics or transportation environment.

Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and logistics software (preferred).

Positive attitude, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a proactive approach to work.
