The machine operator lead position has a very real impact on the success of our company’s ability to meet our customer’s expectations. WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Under the supervision of the Dry Cast Superintendent, this position supports plant operations in all areas of production. This position is responsible for producing and packaging manufactured concrete products and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Continuously observes operation of crew and performs a variety of personnel functions including training, motivating, daily timecard approvals, scheduling time off requests
- Oversees all Block or Tiger Plant functions and operations.
- Assigns work to production employees.
- Performs and documents daily preoperational inspections on equipment and work areas.
- Tracks and reconciles plant material inventories.
- Monitors plant efficiencies and product scrap losses.
- Monitors quality of all raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitors equipment for proper function and operation.
- Verifies that all production machines are running properly and safely.
- Checks Kiln loader, unloader, and block transfer conveyers for proper operations.
- Observes cubing line for proper operations and product pallet placement.
- Adjusts height, texture and moisture content of materials formed.
- Operates batching system for quality and consistent production.
- Preforms product and mold changes as required.
- Forklift operation is required.
- Performs maintenance on equipment as required.
- Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Regularly meets with supervisor.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
