Salary Range: $19-$21 per year; candidate will be paid based on their work experience and skills.
The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing and organizing shipment documentation, billing information, and ensuring the timely submission of required documents to internal systems and external partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and mail invoices and supporting documents daily.
- Enter and organize shipping and billing documents into the company's internal system.
- Ensure documents are correctly labeled, linked to the appropriate orders, and filed for easy access.
- Submit shipment documentation to third-party partners for processing.
- Process and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Scan and store proof of delivery documents for scheduled shipments.
- Create manual invoices when needed.
- Lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience in billing, document processing, or data entry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment
- Comfortable with light physical activity, including lifting up to 25 lbs
- Utilize communication skills to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management personnel.
- Preferred experience with:
- JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
- Document scanning and imaging systems
- Data capture or document indexing tools
