We are currently growing our Administrative Support Team. We are hiring for a BANK SECRECY OFFICER 1 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The Bank Secrecy Officer promotes Pacific Crest’s Mission of providing our members and communities with the opportunity to prosper by protecting credit union capital and our members’ assets through the administration of the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) program.

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate the development, implementation and administration of all aspects of the PCFCU Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Program.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) laws and regulations.
- Support the AS manager in overseeing the credit union’s BSA/AML programs.
- Assist the team with working OFAC alerts.
- Collaborate with various departments and team members to identify and investigate suspicious transactions.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and submission of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Aid in identifying members eligible for CTR exemptions.
- Partner with the Fraud Specialists to reduce and mitigate fraud.
- Support team in monitoring high-risk accounts including Enhanced Due Diligence reports.
- Support the AS manager in the maintenance and ongoing enhancement of the BSA/AML software to meet the credit union's needs for monitoring and compliance.
- Provide assistance with BSA audits or exams, and ensure any subsequent findings or deficiencies are addressed.
- Take ownership of personal development by leveraging monthly coaching and participating in continuing education to qualify for a BSA Officer 2.
Qualifications
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or 2 years related experience regulatory compliance. Familiarity with state and federal industry laws and regulations.
- A cooperative, positive attitude toward members and fellow employees using sound interpersonal skills.
