Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret financial and statistical data to evaluate operating results regarding profitability, performance, and overall fiscal health of the organization.
- Facilitate and secure funding for expansion initiatives and acquisitions.
- Possess knowledge of PDI and back-office integration systems.
- Identify and establish the company's Key Performance Indicators, benchmarking them against industry standards.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of fuel pricing mechanisms to optimize profit margins.
- Establish and oversee accounts receivable and collections processes.
- Maintain the organization's accounting system and ensure accurate records of all financial transactions and assets.
- Explore and evaluate new revenue opportunities within the energy sector.
- Generate monthly financial reports detailing the company's income, expenses, earnings, and cash flow status.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state sales and excise tax regulations while anticipating future tax consequences.
- Develop policies for document retention and oversee the disposal of outdated records, including digital files.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and schedules, including bank reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and other necessary general journal entries for the completion of monthly financial reports. Maintain documentation for expenses and fixed assets for year-end compilation, as well as fuel and non-fuel reconciliations.
- Issue invoices and supervise the management of receivables for the organization.
- Process payables and oversee the company's cash flow management.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and provide additional departmental support as required.
- Coordinate the annual workers' compensation audit and assist with other regulatory compliance or tax audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management.
- Background in the downstream oil and gas sector.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience in conducting financial analyses.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software.
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
