Responsibilities:
- Record transactions in accordance with US GAAP promptly and in line with the closing schedule, focusing on opportunities to expedite the process.
- Prepare monthly journal entries accurately.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform variance analysis on balance sheet and profit & loss statements to provide insights into account balances and changes.
- Collaborate with the Controller to analyze closing results against budget and forecasts.
- Assist the Controller with technical accounting for non-standard transactions.
- Design, document, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate reporting of transactions and balances.
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in existing workflows.
- Support the annual external financial audit, tax preparation, and insurance renewal by providing timely and accurate schedules as needed.
- Build strong relationships with Finance and cross-functional teams.
- Engage in company and departmental initiatives, including special projects.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or progress towards obtaining CPA is preferred.
- 3-5 years of corporate accounting including inventory accounting experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or retail sector is essential.
- Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, including implementation or upgrade experience, is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP), along with comfort in Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across various teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
