We are looking for a Project Specialist to help administer and manage construction packages. This work will be supporting the largest utility company on the West Coast. In this role, you will be working as a unifier and supporting the multiple FRIs that come into a specific Construction Manager. This group works with 7-10 different contract vendors that each have about five different people submitting RFI's to this end client. We need this person to help with data entry in DPM, submit work authorizations, and draft them for each vendor. There are about 50-150 projects per week and half which they could have half of them with RFIs. Some of these RFI's are focused on system hardening, pole and maintenance tags as well as undergrounding. The RFI's could be for new work or existing work. For example, if a contractor took four hours to dig for a pole, they had to bring in a special piece of equipment and then we are adding more spend to the original quote. We need you to look at those details and ensure the forecast and billing are accurate.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-5 years of clerical / administrative / analytical support
- Experience working with Excel (V Look Ups, pivot tables, etc)
- Experience and understanding of construction management lifecycle (how projects run)
- Experience with SAP and Excel
- Experience submitting authorizations and approvals
- Excellent oral and written communication
