Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records in compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices.
Duties
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports related to accounts payable.
- Support payroll processing by coordinating with the Human Resources department on employee-related expenses.
- Stay updated on tax regulations to ensure compliance in all accounts payable activities.
- Provide support during audits by preparing relevant documentation related to accounts payable transactions.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role within corporate accounting environments.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and financial software applications is essential.
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus, particularly in relation to payroll processing.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team dynamics.
