What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll/Benefits Specialist position at Pacific Manufacturing Tennessee?
Primary Responsibility: o support the HR Department; to support the employees; to support other departments as needed.
Essential Functions: (includes but not limited)
· Trains all full-time new hires on all wage and payroll functions including but not limited to vacation, unpaid sick time, direct deposit, clocking in and out, missed punches, payroll, and all other functions
· Trains all full-time new hires on the benefits program including medical, dental, vision, and other voluntary insurances; assists with enrollment of new hires into the benefits system
· Enters all full-time new hires into the Paycor system
· Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
· Completes E-verify and I-9 confirmation on all new hires; maintains I-9 documents for all active and termed employees
· Coordinates the uniform program-orders uniforms, confirms receipt of the order, and enters deductions in to the Paycor system
· Maintains all full-time employees’ paperwork in personnel files/medical files for active and termed employees
· Completes all audits for third parties such as the annual Workers Comp audit
· Assists the HR team with employee relations activities
· Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, time and attendance
· High level of professionalism
· Excellent people skills

· Excellent attendance
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in an office environment with frequent interruptions, 8 hours minimum of staring at computer, sitting at desk
· Ability to stand in front of new temps for orientation
· Ability to speak in front of new hires and leadership
· Ability to work 12 hour shifts as needed
· Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist as needed for up to 12 hours
· Ability to lift up to 35 lbs if needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
