What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer Level 1 position at Pacific Mobile Structures, Inc.?
Pacific Mobile is actively seeking skilled individuals for a variety of positions, ranging from construction laborers to carpenter tenders. We have opportunities for both entry-level and experienced workers. As part of our team, you will contribute to projects ranging from the basic installation of relocatable classrooms or job shacks to complete turnkey projects that include all site improvements and utility work. Our customers include a variety of sectors, such as office buildings, medical clinics, government services, and workforce housing. You must have physical strength, endurance, and the ability to work well with your hands. Strong collaboration skills, the ability to following instructions, and adherence to safety rules are also essential.
Hourly based pay of $22 to $29.50 an hour DOE. Some of the work we take on is subject to prevailing wage, meaning you will receive the prevailing wage rate. Approximately 30% to 50% of the work will be subject to prevailing wage.
Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday. Floating start/stop times to meet customer schedule.
Travel: Some out of area work locations requiring overnight stays. Saturday/overtime work may be required at times.

In this role you will:
• Install mobile/modular buildings, block and level, concrete blocking, and pony wall foundations.
• Assemble decks, porches, ramps and steps, trusses, sheathing, roofing, and gables as needed.
• Mobile office skirting and framing.
• Ensure maintenance of company vehicle is current through company providers.
• Follow safety measures for setting and working with mobile/modular buildings.
• Complete time sheets daily and accurately.
• Load and unload truck with job materials.
• Complete OSHA 10 Course within 90 Days.
• Complete and pass customer required training courses as needed.
• Receive additional field-based training.
• Keep job site clean and organized.
Experience and Requirements:
• Carpentry and construction experience preferred
• General knowledge of power tools and techniques for care
• Strong customer service skills
• OSHA 10 & 30 Certifications a plus
• Forklift Certifications a plus
• Ability to work with a team and be a self-starter
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
• Set-up and knockdown experience preferred
Drug screen and background check required
Physical Requirements:
• Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
• Crawling under buildings
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Operate handheld power tools
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
