What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Early Childhood Educator position at Pacific Northern Academy?
Pacific Northern Academy is looking for a highly qualified Lead Teacher to work in our Summer Preschool Program. The position starts in late May and continues through the summer until Aug 1, 2025.
The duties of the Lead Teacher are as follows:
- Create and implement developmentally-appropriate curriculum in accordance with the PNA mission
- Support the social and emotional development of the children
- Help children build independence with personal care skills
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with families
- In collaboration with your team, create a safe, inspiring learning environment
- Educational Background:
- A degree in early childhood education, elementary education, child development, or a related field is required, and prior experience is preferred.
Essential Job Functions: Essential job functions include communication and organizational skills along with the physical abilities to bend, kneel, lift and carry up to 40 lbs as necessary to meet the needs of young children. This is a full-time, hourly position, for the summer.
