Sunflower preschool is looking for a kind, Patient, and RELIABLE preschool teacher who loves working with kids and has a desire to work. The position requires flexibility, strong work ethic, dependability and ability to work overtime. Our center has low child to teacher ratios this allows the classroom to be manageable. Full time schedule -8-hour shift
Requirements:
At least one-year experience working in a licensed professional preschool facility.
Must have experience working with children who have endured trauma and have developmental delays.
Must have experience working with children 19months-8 years old in a preschool setting.
Must be able to pass background check.
Must be 18 years or older
Food handler card, CPR, and first aid card required, or willingness to obtain one within a week of hire.
Must be a reliable and punctual individual.
Ability to lift small child and easily get up and down from the floor.
Ability to be on feet for long periods of time.
Must have time management skills and leadership skills.
Must be able to work alone in a classroom with 10 children.
Must have a high energy level to be in fast pace environment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
*interacting with children positively
*interacting with parents positively
*Diaper changing
*ensuring all children are safe
*ensuring all children's needs are met on a daily basis
*cleaning through out the day
*keeping classroom and organizing through out the day
*lesson planning
*following daily schedule and maintaining structure in the classroom
*serving meals
*keeping head counts at all times
*24 hours of ongoing child development training every year
*Teaching children through daily activities
*Multi-tasking
