Join our team as an Assessments and Performance Assurance Professional with the Assessment and Issues Management Team. In this critical role, you will support the implementation and enhancement of the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) to ensure the effective delivery of our mission and research. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing assessment strategies aligned with enterprise risk, measure Management and Operation (M&O) Program performance, and address areas of concern for Laboratory leadership. Working closely with PM leadership, you will help create and execute an annual integrated assessment schedule that provides a coordinated and risk-based approach to assessments. Additionally, you will support the development and delivery of assessment and effectiveness evaluation training for the qualification of staff members.

- Develop and implement assessment strategies aligned with performance indicators and enterprise risk.
- Support Contractor Assurance (CA) Management and Operation (M&O) Program Manager with assessment of the effectiveness and compliance of program implementation.
- Promote the use of assessments to aide in the proactive identification of risks and prevention of undesired impacts to mission and Laboratory’s performance.
- Develop and maintain understanding of overall CAS program deployment and support assessment of program health.
- Support effective implementation of assurance processes, such as self-assessments, performance analysis, issues management, effectiveness evaluations, risk management, occurrence reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Integrate the tenants of continuous improvement and risk management with assessment program.
- Build strong relationships and successfully engage stakeholders to understand performance challenges.
- Provide back-up support for institutional assessment/effectiveness evaluation training and qualification activities.
- BS/BA and 7 years of relevant experience -OR-
- MS/MA or higher and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in contractor assurance, audits, assessments, performance analysis, and/or related fields.
- Familiarity with improvement strategies and program development.
- Strong analytical skills, including assessment/audit experience, causal analysis, process improvement, and effectiveness evaluations.
- Proficiency in utilizing modern technologies, such as AI, to enhance work processes and products.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience in change management.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engaging internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of PNNL and Battelle's research and operations management processes.
