Clinical Coordinator

The Hagopian Lab at the Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI) in Seattle, WA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Coordinator who is passionate about contributing to the advancement of research and knowledge by joining a team of researchers, scientists, clinicians and doctors studying the root causes of type 1 diabetes.

Responsibilities will include working both independently and as a member of a team and providing assistance with the implementation, coordination, and goals of clinical research projects.

What you will do:

  • Recruit and inform study participants of study requirements; maintain good working relationships with participants.
  • Preform all duties within HIPAA regulations
  • Conduct study interviews both in person and over the telephone.
  • Educate patients in clinical studies regarding diabetes.
  • Assist in preparing responses for regulatory and study paperwork.
  • Work with staff to develop and update procedure manuals.
  • Assist with training support staff and students.
  • Maintain data on spreadsheets, update database as needed, and send correspondence to participants.
  • May evaluate and analyze clinical data.

What you bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Two or more years of post-degree experience, including one year in a clinical setting and one or more years of experience in a research setting.

Skills and Abilities

  • Specialized knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, and techniques of the assigned subject area.
  • Study protocol experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific documents.
  • Ability to write reports and draft procedures.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from study patients, team members, or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to effectively present information to team members related to responsibilities on a project.
  • Basic operating knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • May require interviewing experience.
  • May require basic understanding of medical coding.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • May require Human Subjects Protection Training.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate consisting of usual business office sounds including but not limited to computers, printers, telephones, and light foot traffic. Employees who work in Laboratories may be exposed to biological, chemical, radiological, or physical hazards that are typical of a laboratory environment.

How to apply:

The annual base salary for this position is from $55,000 to $65,000 and the wage offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
