Job Summary - LOOIKING FOR A COUPLE BILLINGUAL CANDIDATES - SPANISH - RUSSIAN - CHINESE/JAPANESE - MIDDLE EASTERN - POLISH
Essential Responsibilities:
Gate Clerk:
- Inspects all intermodal units for unit number and damage to the unit using an automated computerized gate system.
- Maintains accuracy of all trailer/container inspections, ensuring that all security seals are intact on all trailers and containers.
- Responsible for overseeing and documenting any damage to arriving or departing units with timeliness and accuracy to the customer.
- Maintains a quality environment where performance inspections are handled safely and accident and injury free.
- Ensures compliance is met under HAZMAT and OSHA Regulations. This would include reporting any incidents to the supervisory immediately. Inspectors are required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as safety vest, safety glasses and protective hard hat, when applicable.
- Ability to maintain clear communication with truck drivers while performing inspections.
- Properly identifies any terminal lanes not in use by placing appropriate cones in lane to notify drivers.
- Responsible for completing all required paperwork for the customer accurately.
- Maintain company values, rules, policies and procedures are met to fulfill the company mission, as well as productive relationships with customers and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 or older
- Valid Drivers License or State ID and Must have Social Security Card or Work Authorization
- Pass Back Ground Check - NO Felonies within 7 years
- Pass Drug Test
- Highly organized and flexible in schedule.
- Detailed oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of email and Microsoft systems.
