Job Description: Contracts Administrator & Data Analyst
Location: San Carlos, CA (Office-based; no remote work option)
Department: Strategic Accounts
Reports To: Manager, Strategic Accounts
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

About the Role
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator & Data Analyst to manage, implement, and optimize customer and supplier contracts while providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making. This dual-function role requires a skilled professional adept in both contract administration and data analysis, with a strong focus on supporting the strategic accounts team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong negotiation and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management (primary focus):
- Administer existing and future commercial contracts with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including service-level agreements, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate adjustments to boilerplate agreements, tailoring contracts to specific business use cases.
- Contract Implementation and Compliance:
- Lead efforts to operationalize new contracts, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders understand their responsibilities.
- Monitor, review, and enforce compliance with contract terms across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with legal, sales, finance, operations, procurement teams and external stakeholders to align contract performance with business objectives.
- Negotiation Support:
- As part of the key account team, represent and support the company in customer and supplier negotiations regarding terms, pricing, compliance issues, and dispute resolution.
- Balance risk and opportunity to drive favorable commercial outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze commercial data, such as contract performance, pricing trends, and profitability metrics.
- Create reports and dashboards to support the account team in strategic planning and performance monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to optimize profitability, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Support:
- Act as a liaison between sales, operations, procurement, and finance teams to support strategic account management.
- Provide insights to inform decision-making regarding customer agreements, supplier performance, and overall contract effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to contract and data management processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in contract administration, compliance, negotiation, or commercial operations.
- Proven experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing contractual relationships.
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or Tableau).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and contract/product lifecycle management software is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
· Working knowledge / experience with contract law
- Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting complex data and translating it into actionable recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Work environment:
- Full-time, office-based role in San Carlos, CA (no work-from-home option).
- Occasional travel may be required for customer or supplier meetings.
Compensation and benefits:
- The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between $85,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications within the field.
- Quarterly performance reviews provide opportunities for merit-based adjustments and bonuses.
- This full-time position is eligible for Pacific Rubber’s comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental & vision, 401k with match, FSA etc.
