We are recruiting for a Human Resources Manager with a strong employee relations background to join a health and human services organization. This position is direct hire, hybrid role in Sacramento and an excellent opportunity to work with an organization with a great mission. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supporting multiple business units by advising on HR policies and practices, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, and providing guidance for field leaders. This position will have at least 3 direct reports. Pay : $130,000- $150,000. Hybrid-3 days onsite.
The ideal candidate will have strong labor law knowledge and employee relations experience. This position will be mentoring and coaching 2-3 Human Resources Generalist experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct HR audits to ensure the company remains compliant within required state and federal regulations.
- Consult with managers on internal investigations.
- Prepare reports and offer additional support to address HR needs.
- Provide expert legal HR compliance guidance, ensuring the company’s employees meet regulatory requirements, while mitigating exposure.
- Create, edit, and maintain changes to employee handbook.
- Develop and execute management training on various topics, including hiring, terminations, employee relations, performance, and anti-harassment.
- Guide managers through complex employee issues, including leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and disability accommodations.
- Assist managers in developing job descriptions that align with department goals and culture.
- Design and implement performance review programs that promote fairness, effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with organizational culture.
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations, including Workplace Violence Prevention Plan Programs.
- Stay informed about trends and changes in HR legislation.
- Create and update internal documents and polices to be used in the HR library.
