Pacific States Environmental Contractors, Inc., Northern California’s premier environmental contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to be a part of our successful management team in the greater Northern California area. We have an extensive portfolio of public and private projects that will provide you with the opportunity to challenge and grow in your career as a Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Reporting to a Construction Manager, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage one or more direct reports.
- Understand our clients' needs and the scope of the project.
- Predict resources needed to complete the project.
- Oversee CPM and 3 Week, and 9 Day schedules.
- Pre-costing activities of work.
- Manage the cost report, AR, and AP aspect of assigned projects.
- Conduct site safety surveys to evaluate safety program implementation.
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance to ensure Cal-OSHA compliance.
- Implement and enforce company and client safety policies.
- Other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.
Qualifications
Required
- Undergraduate Degree from a four-year college. Construction Management, Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing civil engineering, grading, excavation projects and jobsite safety.
- Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
Preferred
- Ability to serve as positive leader to employees, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.
- Ability to critically think and analyze options in the framework of risk vs reward.
- Work in a team environment.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels.
- Ability to prioritize task in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of negotiating with Clients.
