We are seeking a few students for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 term. Winter term is optional.
The Social Sciences office, Marsh Hall 218, is a resource for the School of Social Sciences professors. We provide coffee/tea/snacks/office and classroom supplies, mail, and the department printers and copier. Keeping the door open from 8-5 and equipment working is critical. Your job will be to staff the Social Sciences office, keeping it stocked and helping our diverse group professors and others as needed. Tasks may include copying/printing, picking up and delivering mail, using Word, Excel, and Box.
Expand your digital literacy by developing a database and producing a monthly newsletter.
Special project this year developing a FileMaker database.
Sometimes professors or departments will employ the Office Assistant(s) on special projects or tasks. These opportunities will change from week to week.
Qualifications
A friendly nature and helpful attitude are the most critical requirements. No experience necessary.
