BasicQualifications :
Positionrequires minimum age 18
High Schooldiploma or G.E.D
Work any assigned shiftincluding weekends, holidays andovertime
At least two years of full or part-timework in the last four years
Ability toread, write and speak in English
Satisfactorycompletion of background check and drugscreen.
Applicants willbe required to have one of the following :
- A diploma from a technical college in industrialmaintenance.
- Three years of service in the field ofmechanical maintenance (Pipe Fitting, Welding, Millwright,Vibration, or Machinist).
- Three years of militaryservice in the field of mechanical maintenance (Pipe Fitting,Welding, Millwright, Vibration, or Machinist) or completed acomparable certified Maintenance ApprenticeProgram.
Testsand Board Interview :
Thoseselected to go through the PCA hiring process will be asked to takea series of five written tests and take part in a structured boardinterview.
The five written tests are all timed andinvolve :
Basicmechanical principles
Basicarithmetic skills
The ability to visualizethree-dimensional figures
The abilityto compare numbers or patterns quickly andaccurately
Basic verbalability
The interview will be conducted by afour-person board and involves a review of eachcandidate’s :

PrincipleAccountabilities :
Work with key mechanical, electrical, andprocess personnel to support daily and monthly Maintenance outagesas well as annual outage jobs.
Work with mechanicalmaintenance / engineering and operations personnel to completemaintenance and capital projects.
Complete necessary programs and training,as indicated in the Mechanical Maintenance ApprenticeProgram.
Supports theMills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas ofneed.
Utilize predictive and preventative maintenanceprograms to identify and correct equipmentissues.
Complete assigned work for daily, monthly,and annual outages.
Effectively completeassigned jobs for best result at lowestcost.
Look for opportunities to solve issues,reduce cost, and improveperformance.
Performs otherresponsibilities as needed.
PreferredQualifications
Pulp &Paper industry experience preferred.
