Position Summary :

The Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability & ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's ESG strategies and sustainability initiatives. This role plays a critical part in aligning corporate goals with sustainable practices, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible and sustainable enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, raters and rankers, and regulatory bodies to advance the organization's ESG objectives and secure alignment with business and functional leadership.
  • Actively develop and manage direct reports to enhance team capabilities.
  • Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with market trends, raters and rankers and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the collection, analysis, reporting, and third-party auditing of ESG data to meet stakeholder, raters and rankers and regulatory expectations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor to various stakeholders on Sustainability & ESG matters.
  • Monitor the regulatory and policy landscape and market and global trends to provide perspective, interpretation, and implications for the company.
  • Actively participate on the company's Carbon Neutrality Team and support the implementation of projects to achieve the company's climate goals.
  • Represent the company in industry associations for sustainability and ESG matters.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in relevant field preferred (sustainability, business, etc.).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading successful sustainability programs within a corporate setting including strong managerial skills of direct reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills including a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and work effectively with customers, other departments, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ESG challenges into actionable and understandable solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with financial and operational impacts of sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability metrics, and reporting standards.
