Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Sr. Director of Corporate Sustainability & ESG on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in the packaging, transportation, and display solutions for various products. The Senior Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and sustainability initiatives. This position is critical in aligning the company's corporate goals with sustainable practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible and sustainable enterprise.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, raters and rankers, and regulatory bodies, to advance the organization's ESG objectives and ensure alignment with business and functional leadership.
Develop and manage direct reports to enhance team capabilities and foster professional growth.
Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with market trends, raters and rankers, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the collection, analysis, reporting, and third-party auditing of ESG data to meet stakeholder, raters and rankers, and regulatory expectations.
Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor on Sustainability & ESG matters to various internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor the regulatory and policy landscape, as well as market and global trends, to provide perspective, interpretation, and implications for the company.
Actively participate in the company's Carbon Neutrality Team and support the implementation of projects to achieve the company's climate goals.
Represent the company in industry associations for sustainability and ESG matters. Requirements include :
Education :
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field (sustainability, business, etc.) preferred. Experience :
Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, or related fields.
Proven track record of leading successful sustainability programs within a corporate setting, including strong managerial skills in leading direct reports. Skills :
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and work effectively with customers, other departments, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex ESG challenges into actionable and understandable solutions.
Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the financial and operational impacts of sustainability initiatives. Certifications :
ESG or Sustainability certifications preferred but not required. Knowledge :
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability metrics, and reporting standards.
Deep knowledge of regulatory and policy environments related to sustainability and ESG. Key Competencies :

Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage and navigate complex ESG issues.

Work Environment : Office-based, with some travel required for industry events and stakeholder meetings.
