Outdoor Activity Zone (OAZ) Attendant
(Full-Time, Seasonal 5/1/2025-11/1/2025)
Principal Responsibilities: Assist resort guests with equipment; explaining proper equipment usage and safety; monitoring the activities during operating hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains assigned areas and equipment; including distributing equipment and instructing guests on proper usage.
- Issues activity and safety equipment
- Follows proper service and maintenance schedules for equipment and activity surfaces
- Instructs guests on safety procedures; explains and witnesses completion of “Release and Waiver of Liability” forms
- Operates Company vehicles and equipment according to established procedures
- Provides a sociable and professional atmosphere at all times
- Maintains knowledge of all Resort facilities in order to enhance guest satisfaction
- Requests proper identification from guests for facility usage in order to avoid abuse/misuse of Resort facilities and equipment
- Maintains proper and suitable recreation areas
- Practices safety procedures in the performance of all duties
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into the Packard culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of corporate policies. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance to the standards, which may be established by Packard from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health of safety:

Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essentials functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Ability to effectively deal with Resort guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
- Ability to read English language sufficient to assist guests in the completion of waivers and provide instructions
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry (or otherwise move) packages, boxes and equipment up to 100lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling or walking significant distances
QUALIFYING STANDARDS
Licenses or Certificates
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
Grooming
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
NOTICE:
The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
