Responsibilities
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirement for the various departments
- Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
- Monitor inventory for accuracy
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
- Supervise stock order procedures
- Work closely with the service manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
- Provides technical assistance when necessary
- Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Enforce safety requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Create a yearly budget and plan to ensure department profitability
- Implement department efficiencies
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years prior managerial experience
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manger time
- Proven follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions
- Superior communication and customer service skills.
