PACO Group, Inc. is seeking an energetic and organized Construction Facilitator to support WMATA’s capital improvement, rehabilitation, and state of good repair programs. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison among project teams, contractors, and WMATA management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout construction projects. Your efforts will help streamline processes, address on-site challenges promptly, and support the successful delivery of high-quality transit infrastructure.

Scope of Work

The Construction Facilitator will be integral to daily project operations by coordinating communications, monitoring progress, and facilitating problem resolution on the construction site. You will collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and site personnel to ensure that all project activities align with WMATA’s standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Serve as the central point of contact between contractors, project managers, and WMATA representatives.
    • Facilitate daily coordination meetings to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned on project goals.
  • Process Facilitation:
    • Monitor construction schedules and assist with the implementation of change orders and process improvements.
    • Proactively address on-site issues to help maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of meeting minutes, project updates, and issue logs.
    • Prepare and distribute regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Quality & Safety Oversight:
    • Ensure that all construction activities comply with WMATA’s safety protocols and quality standards.
    • Escalate concerns as necessary and support corrective action processes.
  • Support Functions:
    • Assist project teams with administrative tasks, including document review and process tracking.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in construction processes.
Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
    • 3-5 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role, ideally within transit or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
