Key Responsibilities
- Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as the central point of contact between contractors, project managers, and WMATA representatives.
- Facilitate daily coordination meetings to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned on project goals.
- Process Facilitation:
- Monitor construction schedules and assist with the implementation of change orders and process improvements.
- Proactively address on-site issues to help maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of meeting minutes, project updates, and issue logs.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Quality & Safety Oversight:
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with WMATA’s safety protocols and quality standards.
- Escalate concerns as necessary and support corrective action processes.
- Support Functions:
- Assist project teams with administrative tasks, including document review and process tracking.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in construction processes.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role, ideally within transit or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
