(PACO) is seeking a Construction Manager to support the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) across various capital improvement, rehabilitation, and state of good repair programs . This role involves project management and construction oversight, ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with WMATA's standards and safety regulations.
Scope of Work
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing multiple construction and rehabilitation projects within WMATA's transit system. Your role will involve developing construction schedules, managing on-site activities, and liaising with stakeholders-including contractors, engineers, and WMATA project teams-to facilitate smooth project execution and ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules.
Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review and approve construction methods, materials, and processes.
Collaborate with internal WMATA departments, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
Track project expenses against approved budgets.
Enforce WMATA's safety guidelines, ensuring all workers and processes meet required standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field .
Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Hourly Rate Range : $60-85 / hr Commensurate with experience
