As a Maximo Data Analyst, you will be the backbone of our data operations, ensuring data integrity, driving business insights, and contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise asset management processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your analytical expertise to influence data-driven strategies that have a lasting impact on New York City’s infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Quantitative Analysis:
- Spearhead data validation and clean-up efforts to maintain the highest levels of data integrity within IBM Maximo.
- Organize, manage, and maintain large datasets, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards.
- Uncover trends and patterns in economic, demographic, and transportation data to support robust business analyses.
- Design and implement automated data extraction processes using advanced programming languages such as R and Python.
- Develop comprehensive reports, interactive dashboards, and impactful data visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and other BI tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Research & Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews and synthesize findings to guide strategic initiatives.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative market analysis to evaluate industry trends and inform project outcomes.
- Prepare polished, data-driven reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Business Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization based on data analysis and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance asset management efficiency.
- Lead QA/QC initiatives to ensure the accuracy and reliability of asset data within IBM Maximo (versions 7.6, 8.4, or 8.5).
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate engaging training sessions and workshops to promote IBM Maximo best practices and foster a data-driven culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between EAM leadership, technical teams, and end-users to ensure seamless data management and system optimization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within transportation, asset management, or related sectors.
- Proficiency in IBM Maximo is required, with demonstrated hands-on experience in asset management, data analysis workflows, and system optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as R, Python, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., Stata, EViews).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive, hands-on experience with IBM Maximo or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Solid understanding of asset lifecycle management, predictive maintenance strategies, and infrastructure management within the Maximo environment.
- Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) like ESRI ArcGIS, and enterprise systems such as SAP, COGNOS, and BIM.
- Experience with business process improvement initiatives and change management.
- A valid driver's license (preferred) for occasional travel to Port Authority and NYC agency facilities.
Hourly Rate Range: $50-$85/hr (Commensurate with Experience)
