PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager (Hybrid) to oversee and coordinate project initiatives for the Port Authority at LaGuardia Airport (LGA). This pivotal role involves managing all project activities—ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and resource requirements—and coordinating closely with key stakeholders. The selected individual will develop and implement robust project controls, prepare detailed progress reports and presentations, and ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure projects—particularly in aviation—along with a proven track record of working independently to meet challenging deadlines. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a high-profile initiative that will enhance a critical component of LaGuardia Airport’s infrastructure.
Scope of Work
Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
Project Management & Documentation
- Scope, Schedule & Budget: Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations.
- Deliverable Tracking: Coordinate tasks and deliverables, tracking them through completion.
- Presentation Support: Assist in developing PowerPoint presentations to support the program.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain all required project records.
Coordination & Communication
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between internal and external project stakeholders, addressing questions about project details and deliverables.
- Meeting Participation: Coordinate schedules, prepare meeting materials, and document action items.
- Reporting & Follow-Up: Provide reporting functions as needed, keeping the Program Manager informed of any issues and progress updates.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the Program Manager: Carry out assignments in an orderly and efficient manner, anticipating potential challenges.
- Political Sensitivity: Maintain awareness of the political environment and sensitivities surrounding project delivery.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Contribute as needed to ensure overall project success.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- BA degree in an engineering discipline or related fields.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills & Abilities
- Detail-Oriented: Identify errors or non-standard situations and suggest constructive alternatives.
- Highly Organized: Able to multitask effectively and manage several projects concurrently.
- Team Player: Demonstrates accuracy, meticulousness, proactivity, and self-organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office and associated project management tools.
- Communication: Strong written and oral skills; able to convey complex information clearly.
- Work Environment: Works well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Records Management: Understands and applies sound records management principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of proven program management experience.
- Experience with mega ($500M ) and/or highly complex capital programs.
- e-Builder and SharePoint user knowledge.
- Experience with NYC MTA, New York City and State public agencies.
- Port Authority experience strongly preferred.
- Aviation Construction experience a plus.
- Ability to pass SWAC or SIDA clearance
- One or more of the following certifications:
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
