This program involves providing technical expertise throughout the procurement, design review, testing, training, and deployment stages of fare vending machine acquisitions. Scope of Work
The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of WMATA’s Fare Vending Machine Program, ensuring that all phases of the procurement, design, and deployment processes are delivered on time and within scope. This role requires strategic planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure project objectives align with WMATA’s operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Lead coordination efforts with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders throughout procurement, testing, and deployment phases.
- Oversee risk management, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Track project performance, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with WMATA’s technical standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in fare systems or infrastructure programs.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- PMP certification preferred.
