What to Expect :
Analyzes resident's hair and question resident to determine their hairdressing preference.
Washes, dyes, perms, tints, bleaches or curls or waves hair based on resident's' instructions.
Styles hair by blowing, cutting, trimming and tapering.
Makes and confirms hairdressing appointments and coordinates transportation through nursing staff.
Space provided free of charge
Educational / Vocational Requirements :
A High School Diploma,
A valid cosmetology license with at least six months related experience.
Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting preferred
Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
