Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose equipment malfunctions using various tools and manuals, from basic hand tools to precision measuring instruments.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring machinery operates seamlessly and safely.
- Recondition and replace parts, install special components, and inspect machinery to pinpoint issues and ensure adherence to factory specifications.
- Perform routine checks on fluid levels, change lubricants and filters, and ensure manual drives and belts are in optimal condition.
- Support facility maintenance, involving tasks like minor carpentry or welding, using MIG/ARC equipment, and plumbing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in ready-to-use condition.
- Comply with safety protocols and PPE requirements, fostering a secure working environment.
- Stay vigilant to mechanical problems and devise appropriate solutions by consulting blueprints, manuals, and catalogs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School diploma/GED.
- Three to five years of experience in a maintenance role.
- Successful completion of the Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Assessment.
- Proficient in machining, welding, and blueprint/schematic interpretation.
- Strong skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems troubleshooting.
- Admirable attendance record, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
- Capability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Eager to work rotating swing shifts, including overtime and some weekends.
Proficiencies: HVAC, PLC troubleshooting, soldering, motor repair and maintenance, conveyor chain replacement, industrial automation equipment troubleshooting, and experience in manufacturing.
Equipment Used: TIG Welder, Slitter Machine, Flexographic Printing Press, Vertical Lathe, Gluer Machine, Box Folding Machine.
