Your Role in Precision Manufacturing
As a crucial member of our team, the Precision Grinding Specialist is responsible for overseeing shift activities in our grinding room. You will expertly manage grinders, forklifts, and department equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Skillfully operate hand and pedestal grinders to safely remove excess material, conducting regular inspections for optimal grinder adjustments.
- Distinguish between material grades, preventing cross-contamination of regrind.
- Accurately label and identify regrind boxes.
- Maintain thorough end-of-shift documentation, including crew, machine, and production data.
- Evaluate product quality, making necessary machine adjustments for defect-free production.
- Efficiently handle materials with appropriate equipment, including forklifts and barcode readers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
- Conduct minor maintenance on grinders, such as wheel replacement.
- Uphold strict housekeeping and safety protocols.
What You Bring:
- 1-year experience in a dynamic production environment, with mechanical insight into industrial systems.
- Completion of forklift certification program.
- 2 years in forklift/clamp truck operations within busy logistics settings, preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-speed environment, standing for 12-hour shifts.
