Shop Assistant

PacWest Machinery is seeking a Yard Associate to support its construction equipment branch in Spokane, Washington.

PacWest Machinery provides a full line-up of heavy machinery covering general production, aggregate processing, road, and utility equipment from well-known companies including Volvo Construction, Metso Minerals, GOMACO, Atlas Copco, Tymco, Etnyre, Yanmar and others. The company delivers comprehensive sales, rental, leasing, parts and services in Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho. The successful applicant will support PacWest by filling these job responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized yard and shop area,
• Clean and pressure wash equipment,
• Move machines and operate a forklift to optimize yard efficiency,
• Perform check-out and check-in procedures for rental machines,
• Adhere to company and industry safety practices,
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Some knowledge of the care and safe operation of machinery,
• Capable of working with limited supervision (a “self-starter”),
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors for extended periods,
• Professional and courteous attitude towards all team members,
• Dependability is a must,
• Physical capabilities and dexterity are required (lifting up to 60 pounds),
• High school diploma or GED equivalent,
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record,
• Good references from former employers and colleagues
