Job Summary:
Paddock Pool Equipment Company, Inc, a 100% employee-owned company with a rich history of setting the standard in the American-made pool equipment industry since 1922, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials in our ERP system, based on fabrication drawings and parts lists. The BOM Specialist will work closely with multiple departments, including Purchasing, Inventory, Shop Floor Personnel, and Accounting, to ensure the timely and precise creation and management of BOMs.
Responsibilities:
· Interpret and extract data from fabrication drawings and parts lists to develop accurate Bills of Materials in the ERP system.
· Collaborate with the Purchasing Agent to verify material availability and ensure the correct parts are included in BOMs.
· Coordinate with the Inventory Cage Manager to maintain up-to-date stock levels and adjust BOMs as needed.
· Communicate with Shop Personnel to verify that the BOMs reflect the current production processes and any engineering changes.
· Work with the Accounting team to ensure all BOM-related data aligns with cost tracking and reporting requirements.
· Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all BOMs, updating them promptly when engineering changes or part revisions occur.
· Perform regular audits of BOMs to maintain system integrity and support continuous process improvements.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records of all BOM-related activities.
· Identify and resolve discrepancies in the BOMs, parts lists, or fabrication drawings, working cross-functionally to ensure solutions.
Team Dynamics:
· Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment involving sales, product design, process engineering, quality control, and operations.
· Collaborate with the Paddock Pool Equipment Company (PPEC) team to enhance equipment designs, assist in issue resolution, and streamline processes.
· Share responsibilities within the Design Engineering group to maximize efficiencies and capitalize on key strengths.
· Adhere to PPEC company policies and the employee handbook.
Qualifications:
· Experience with BOM development in an ERP (Netsuite) system.
· Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
· Associate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor or other CAD programs preferred.
· Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and accounting principles.
· Strong ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
· Embrace new technologies and adapt to changing production requirements.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
