Overview
Paddock's Imports, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Manager/Bookkeeper to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, finances and payroll, with the ability to manage various administrative and human resource tasks efficiently. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day office activities, including scheduling, correspondence, communication with vendors, marketing, supply ordering and various tasks as needed.
- Oversee financial operations such as technical accounting, bank reconciliation, funds transfers from shop software to financial software.
- Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Assist in financial reporting to ensure compliance and tax deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with external auditors for quarterly and annual reports.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions.
- Provide support in developing office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for two entities using payroll software.
- Assist with hiring/termination processes as needed.
- Maintain employee records.
- Assist with annual benefits review and open enrollment processes.
Experience
- 3 years experience in office management/bookkeeping roles a must.
- Strong bookkeeping, account reconciliation and general journaling.
- Familiarity with accounting practices and governmental accounting regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in using accounting software (QuickBooks and Mitchell/Back Office) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced automotive repair office environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
