In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful change in agriculture and across the food supply chain. Many of the brands we serve are focused on sustainability and innovation and cross various categories within agriculture and environmental sciences, including crop production, animal nutrition and health, carbon sequestration, conservation, commodity promotion, lending, technology and much more.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and measurement of marketing and communications programs for clients, as well as the oversight and review of daily work from the team. An Account Supervisor provides day-to-day management of client accounts and has the marketing, PR, leadership and critical thinking skills essential for successful client programs. What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop strategic client plans and creative program elements
- Implement all major client initiatives, including development and execution of digital and social media campaigns, public relations programs, budgets, timelines, media matrices for your accounts
- Understand digital, social and paid media and how to effectively use it to achieve client objectives
- Participate in/lead brainstorming meetings and research in helping to develop client marketing programs
- Effectively manage team members to produce high quality work that meets the client’s objectives and budgetary constraints
- Establish and build strong relationships with key trade and consumer media who are important to clients and set an example by consistently securing top tier coverage of clients in print/online/broadcast media
- Keep learning and teaching/mentoring other colleagues about the craft of marketing communications and about your clients’ business/industry
- Successfully manage and organically grow/expand current client SOWs
- Actively participates in identifying prospective clients and develops new business individually and as a member of designated teams
- Participate in/lead brainstorming meetings and research in helping to develop client programs
- Exhibit leadership skills that inspire the confidence of supervisors, clients, direct reports, and colleagues
- Manage and direct outside vendors
- Understand the monthly pro forma billing process and liaise with accounting to ensure timely completion
- Teach/mentor other colleagues about the craft of marketing and communications and your client's business/industry
- Travel as needed for client meetings and/or media/special events
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- 5-7 years of experience in advertising, communications/public relations or corporate communications (agency experience is preferred)
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Demonstrated desire for continuous learning
- Ability to travel as needed
