What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Services Compliance Manager position at Pafford?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists executive management in ensuring processes and staff compliance with applicable policies,
procedures, rules, regulations, and medical protocols.
• Uses and manages compliance procedures and systems.
• Manages the confidentiality of information required to be undisclosed
• Uniform handling of compliance results; ensures adequate response to all compliance and related calls and
contacts.
• Works with appropriate personnel to develop an effective compliance training program.
• Maintains templates for reports, guidelines for documentation, and training materials.
• Maintains all required paperwork for state/agency compliance for educational courses, service licenses, or
other state/agency-required licenses.
• Assist other departments as requested.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Associate's degree in business, health care administration, or a related field and three years of experience in auditing and
compliance.
• Must possess and maintain unrestricted EMS license for all Pafford EMS Service Areas.
• Knowledge of industry practices and processes. Knowledge of the medical industry and medical terminology.
• Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, to groups, and individuals, and considerable knowledge of
business English for preparing narrative reports.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
customer service. Ability to multitask and follow through with complex assignments.
• Ability to apply good work habits such as punctuality, reliability, preciseness, and dependability to effectively complete assigned
tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the department and division.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state,
and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs.
• Work may require sitting, near vision use for reading, computer use, and technical procedures, lifting, stooping,
bending, stretching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and other physical exertion.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly in person, on two-way radios and telephone.
• Must possess visual acuity to operate a computer terminal, operate a motor vehicle (day and night), and read.
