Exciting opportunity to join the growing legal department, playing a critical role in their litigation team.Job DescriptionHandle a variety of landlord-tenant litigation matters for the organization's properties in Manhattan and Queens.Appear in Housing Court frequently / weekly handling non-payment, holdover, and HP actions.Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Well organized, managing the court calendar with admin and paralegal support.Supervising two litigation paralegals, working collaboratively with the Senior Litigation Counsel and General Counsel.Prepare responses to DHCR overcharge complaints and Division of Human Rights complaints.Managing special projects and assignments.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Litigation Counsel should have : 2 years' experience in NYC Housing Law (in a public, private practice, or in-house setting).New York State bar.A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.The ability to work independently and in a team.Genuine commitment to a high-quality, personable approach.What's on OfferAn estimated salary range of $120,000 to $175,000 base salary depending on experience discretionary bonus.A comprehensive wider benefits package including parental leave.A supportive work environment in a prestigious Manhattan office.An opportunity to grow within a well-known, leading NY fully integrated real estate company.Apply today - interviews commence late January / early February!#J-18808-Ljbffr
