The Project Controller - Construction will work for a rapidly expanding construction company based in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area. The client have a strong track record of promoting and developing internal talent in this is a newly created leadership role - with full autonomy and oversight for a large portion of their business - and is a role that partners daily with Executive Leadership. The position is based on site 5 days a week. Description
The Project Controller - Construction, will lead the following:
- Lead the preparation of monthly requisitions
- Manage subcontractor relationships including compliance such as OCIP, CCIP, Insurance and Bonds
- Partner directly with Project Executives and Project Managers in monthly forecasting cost review process (Cost to complete).
- Process owner and subcontractor change orders and commitments in Procore.
- Lead the development of cash flow forecasts.
- Control cash position and over under billing analysis.
- Partner with corporate accounting function for month end close duties.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Project Management, key internal and external stakeholders plus more
- Lead project closeout process (Ensure that project documentation is finalized)
Profile
The successful applicant for the Project Controller - Construction position should have the following skill sets and qualifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Degree
- Master's Degree - nice to have but not essential
- Expansive Project Accounting tenure leading large scale projects and/or project portfolios
- Ability to partner with Executive and Operational Leadership
- Software/Systems: Sage300/Timberline, Procore, CMiC or similar highly preferred
Job Offer
