Summary:
Responsible for the operational direction and administration of activities within the assigned departments and/or outlets within the Security division. Assists property leadership with the development and execution of the division’s strategic plans.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of assigned leadership staff
- Oversee the execution of the division’s operational plans in the assigned areas
- Monitor and control labor costs by ensuring adequate coverage based on business demands
- Ensure officers on all shifts remain up-to-date with all required departmental training; provide notification to officers of upcoming expiration dates of training certifications
- Authorizes security clearance and/or access to sensitive areas of the property
- Maintains good working relationships with various members of the business community (i.e., Nevada Gaming Commission, Police Department, Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, etc.)
- Ensure work performance standards, and employee development programs maximize the individual growth and development of staff
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience leading training sessions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, state laws, local ordinances, and procedure manuals.
- Able to effectively write routine reports and correspondence
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to maintain composure and management ability during crisis
- Present a professional appearance
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical abilities required, including the ability to read and interpert operating statements
- Proven successful experience maintaining appropriate labor costs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law, or Business Administration or related area from a college or university preferred
